And so, with a loss, it ends. The song, the drummers, the kids at half time, the famous Rebel yell. Gone for another season. Yes, there are more games to be played, but they are away.
Irrespective of the loss last night and the farewell of some great players, I walked into the Stockade before the game saddened. Surely it was yesterday that I sat and reflected on the Rebs’ first season, and the excitement. It was, wasn’t it?
